Sept Rosters to Steam game?
I know this is a dumb question. But I can't figure out how to get the new Sept rosters to work in my steam version of OOTP18.
Would like to play some key match up games in this late Sept with my fav teams. Assuming I can get a good number of roster updates for Sept additions. Help. : ) Thanks for your time.

You should be able to follow my same (bad) instructions. You won't be able to download the files through Steam (yet), but if you manually download the file and copy it to the appropriate directory, it should work.
You can find the appropriate data directory by opening your game, opening the game settings, and on the last tab there's a "open folder containing data directory" button which should give you the location near where you will need to unzip the quickstart files. |

Just a note to say I've given up. Tried everything I can think of even after re-reading your directions and no way I can get this Sept update to work or even show up on Steam. Oh well...

I found a loophole, by downloading the rosters to my computer and uploading them to steam and it seems to work. The file is labeled September Rosters Official by tieranalexander

Here's a quick tutorial for anyone having trouble. The images and instructions are for Windows 10. I don't think there would be much difference for any earlier versions of Windows. Mac and Linux users will have to hunt a little more, but the general directory structure of the games files is the same.
1. Download the file from dropbox here: 2. On dropbox website click "Download" and then "Direct Download" ![]() 3. Save the file to your computer. If you haven't changed anything it should end up in your downloads folder. ![]() 4. When the file is done downloading use file explorer to get to the location where it's saved. Default location for most is in your downloads folder. Once you find the .zip file right click it and select "Extract All" ![]() 5. Then click "Browse" to search for the "quickstart_games" folder. ![]() 6. The default location for the "quickstart_games" folder is Documents/Out of the Park Developments/OOTP Baseball 18/quickstart_games. When you see the the default quickstarts that come with the game similar to below you're in the right place. I've got a few others that I've added. ![]() 7. Then click the "Extract" Button and you should be good to go. If you check the "Show extracted files when complete" box the directory where you extract to should open up. You should then see the "2017 September.quick" folder amongst your other quickstarts. (as it is in the image above, where I had it already before taking the screenshots for this tutorial.)

Wow I must be smarter than I thought as I figured that out without having anyone show me! Must be all those years of doing this manually back in the day eh...

WOW!! Sure can tell I will soon be 73. : ) I was trying to install the Sept Rosters in the Steam account file. Forgot all about the Documents with OOTP18. Piece of cake.
Thank you so much Mr. Hemi for all of your help for this dense head. : ) Going now to update some 40 man rosters for a few key teams and will try to play out some key games especially for the last 10 days of season with my Cardinals, Cubs and Red Sox and Yankees !! Super thanks...
