Indy League Improvements
There are a few quick fixes that could overhaul the indy league experience:
*Email notification when a player on your team, or league, has been purchased by a Major League Team. *Correct Split Season Standings, with 1st half and second half standing. Some kind of information regarding games left in a half, for example. *Customizable split season formats, for example 1st half winner vs 2nd half winner play a championship game except the winner of each half is the same team. *Minor league Id to load photo.of players. Many players do have minor league ids, but not majors. And some players may have the same name. Using that ID could help us improve the experience. *Adjust extension money demands (if league allows extension). Players sometimes ask for double the payroll available after playing a good season. *As it was adjusted for international coaches not wanting to join a league on another country, it could be applied the same kind of restriction so Asian players (with *** or KBO experience) cannot join indy leagues for low paying salaries. Probably nobody will leave those leagues to play the PECOS league. |

And off on a tangent to major league purchases, Id quite like more options for how purchases work (eg allowing ML teams to bid on players and the indy teams can say yes or no, but if its above a certain amount its automatic or something) Quote:
There could also be something similar to post draft negotiations where it says something like "this guy thinks he should be playing at a higher level, so it will take an exceptional offer to sign him". |

I'd add one possible item to the OP's list: better recreate the roster turnover seen on independent clubs.
I suspect there is much more roster turnover on real-life independent league clubs than OOTP actually recreates. (This would need to be verified. I've got a fair amount of minor league transaction data to serve as a reference; we'd then need OOTP transaction data to compare.) Quote:
(The sad thing about this particular item is that it has been wrong in OOTP for about ten years now, which is about as long as split-seasons have been in the game.) There are several other formats as well. Best, in my opinion, to capture those, and many other playoff formats, in a new customizable playoffs system. |

Another thing that happens frequently is "call ups". This is something that may take a lot of work, but some leagues like the PECOS, United Shore, Empire just to name a few are generally looked at as the lowest level and regularly "trade" players to teams in the American Association or Frontier leagues. Obviously the goal is for a player to get into an affiliated minor league, but some of these guys play a year or two in the PECOS League so they can move "up" to the American Association or Frontier League and (I believe) the highest Indy League, Atlantic League. |
