All star game issue?

How can I get my all star game to be on a Tuesday in the middle of July when there is a 4 day break?
For the past several seasons the all star game has been in early July when there are other games played. LA angels vs Texas, Dodgers vs Giants, Baltimore vs Cleveland, etc.. it worked during the first season (2017), but the 18, 19, 20, 2021 seasons it has been out of whack, and I don't know why. anyone know how I can fix this?

In your settings there is a place where you can force the season to start on a certain day. More recent seasons start on Sundays (unless you use one of the schedules where MLB opened in Japan) while older seasons always opened on a Monday. The biggest problem with the "Japan schedules" is you end up with real games being played while spring training is still going on.

I use a newer schedule and force the game to start on a Sunday. Doing it this way I have never had a conflict in v17 or v18 with the AS game as long as I used a real schedule that started on a Sunday.

Hope that helps.

Actually, I think force starting on Sunday might be the problem.

The "real" fix is to manually schedule the ASG each year, but you'd need to do that before spring training starts.

FWIW it has not been a problem for me. Here's a screen shot of my schedule settings. Note April 2nd in my game is a Friday but the schedule is forced to start on a Sunday. My season ends up starting on April 4th. Also underlined is the schedule I am using, MLB 2017 which IRL started on a Sunday. There is also a box to check to let the game auto adjust the date if matching xml schedule is found. With these settings I haven't had a mis-scheduled all-star game since probably v14 or v15. I know v16, 17, and now 18 have all been flawless for me.
