Feeder league issue?

I've started a new custom dynasty in 1967 using the actual MLB/MiLB setup for that season (according to BBREF), leaving out the foreign, seasonal, and independent leagues.

MLB = 2 leagues, 20 teams
AAA = 2 leagues, 20 teams
AA = 3 leagues, 20 teams
A = 5 leagues, 46 teams
A- = 3 leagues, 16 teams
R = 3 leagues, 16 teams

Based on the formula in this thread, I should have ended up with 100 feeder teams and 30 draft rounds.

However, what I got was something completely different. It gave me a whopping 384 feeder teams (64 college, 320 high school), and 64 draft rounds.

Is there some aberration in the logic of the feeder league for 18? Or am I just not understanding the formula calculation correctly?

I find it incredulous that I'd need that many teams. Having to "manually" contract each feeder league is no fun.

Also, what is the correct ratio of college to high school teams? Or does that not matter?

I can't really help with the underlying question ("how many feeder leagues should I have"), but Biggio's feeder league guide is more than 6 years old now. There's been a ton of changes to the game since then.

I can say for sure that the number of feeders the game gives you is based on it's own internal formula. I don't think that it considers anything other than the number of teams in the parent league and how many new players you want on average. The whole reason that Biggio made that post was because the game's ad feeder system is "dumb".
