Tiger Time!

Hey Guys,

I thought I would do an American League franchise this time in lieu of the file corruption in my Philadelphia Phillies thread. I am deeply disappointed that I lost all my work. The trades I made, the player performances, the World Series; it was a great time. I really was able to crank out a good amount of Baseball because I am between jobs and about to go on vacation. However, I am from Michigan and grew up with the Tigers. The Tigers are entering a deep rebuild and have unlimited possibilities. I don't think the timing could be better to start a new team franchise.

I was also bouncing the idea of doing a Chicago White Sox file because of the great depth of talent in the minor league system and the fact that Chicago is a great city. Toronto was also an interesting proposition because it is one of my favorite "International" cities that i've ever visited (considering I have seen most of Europe). Furthermore, I use to frequent Lansing Lugnuts games when I went to Lansing Community College before transfering to Eastern Michigan. However, I thought I would go with the local team.

I hope you guys follow my team.

Opening Day is here and Tigers fans from near and far are filing into Guaranteed Rate Field in South Chicago. SP - Michael Fulmer takes the mound as he gets ready to face SP Jose Quintana.

Ownership Expectations

1) Play close to .500 Ball
2) Build up a playoff team by 2023

Player Movement Goals

I except that I am probably stuck with Miguel Cabrera, Justin Upton, and Justin Verlander. However, If I can move these guys and collect prospects, I would be very happy. I also want to try and move JD Martinez and Ian Kinsler if possible. See what is out there to get.

Next step, the following players (in addition to those listed above) need to go because of Personality traits:

OF - Jacoby Jones

These guys aren't that good and have negative traits. I would just out right release if they don't bring much interest.

*this addresses the bad clubhouse pieces that I can reasonably move and spreads out the talent to remove all my red dots. I got rid of a few guys who won't be long term pieces and freed up a tiny bit of cap room. I am most likely stuck with all the big contracts until the trade deadline (or just plain stuck)

The Detroit Tigers decided to move Veteran relief pitcher Francisco "K-ROD" Rodriquez and low-level pitching prospect Wladimir Pinto to the Cincinnati Reds for SS - Zack Cozart, 3 other pitching prospects. The move is part of the reloading process in order to help refill the Minor League System and cut payroll and make room for Michael Fulmer's contract.

When I took over the team, the minor league system was such a mess. AAA, AA, A+, and A only had 14-17 players and the organization was a total mess. Now I think I got it back to competitive balance. Only took 2 hours.
