Injured, but still pitching

I'm in the middle of a spring training game. In the fourth inning, my starting pitcher suffers an injury. Diagnosis pending. The game ... doesn't require me to replace him.

Just to see what would happen, I let him pitch to and retire the next batter. The inning ends, still no prompt to replace him.

Screenshot is attached. You can see that he's got the red cross in the roster section, but is a) still on the mound, and b) his status there is listed as OK.

The diagnosis came in the next day. Very mild, day-to-day injury. Makes me wonder if that actually worked the way it was supposed to. That my trainer said, "He's hurt, but you really want him to, he can keep going. He shouldn't, but he can."

1) What is affected by the injury in his profile?
Sometimes leg injuries only affect running and not pitching.

Do you remember what the PBP was like when he got hurt. Did the game say "and they'll have to take him out of the game"? Surprised it would have let you keep him in...

It was a minor hamstring thing. Lasted only two days, and was considered mild. But the PBP said I'd have to take him out. That was what shocked me.
