So I accidentally deleted my manager email about a team option year for one of my players. Is there another way to take up the option?

If you go to the player profile page, and click on Available Actions (on the far right), there will be a drop-down menu. It should be available somewhere in there.

OK. I don't know what to tell you then. Maybe there's someone out there that has a player option coming up soon that can help. Sorry...

Have you simmed forward at all? You only get one day for options.
Two ideas:
1) Is there anything in the Player Profile->Contract page?
2) I would go in commissioner mode to the Player Profile->Editor tab. You should be able to execute the option or change the contract to guaranteed.

Yes, I have gone forward a week so far, no secondary message yet.
1. the option information is there, but no ability to execute
2. This is in challenge mode (no commish ability)

the fact that #4 didn't work is a bit disturbing on its own. i've done this before and that's how i did it...

FA -> pending offers? but if you haven't offered, since that's the problem, lol...

pending free agents in front office? (available options?)

hmm if a team only option, wouldn't it be default yes and you have to "opt out?" i'd say back it up and test... but.. CM, so .....

hmm what about copying hte league folder contents, then making a new .lg folder with a different name, then paste the data into that new .lg folder... test in that league and delete when done. there's possibly some sort of protection against this due to CM. it may also affect your online stats. i haven't done it myself, but i assume there's some sort of leaderboard system.

offer him the amount of money he would have gotten as a option amount by going to salary page and you would find the suggested amount to offer the guy

Hey just reporting back.

I couldn't find any other way to execute the option.

So I simmed to free agency - The option was picked up.

<<shrugs>> Works I guess

i guess 12am was a bit late to see it... glad it worked that way.. had a weak momory of a similar situation. i didn't sound very certain in post #8 though.

By default, for team options, essentially it's to get it picked up. Pretty much the only thing that selecting that execute option button does is to write some stuff into their text history.

Had you wanted to decline the option and you deleted the email... yeah, not sure how to get that back if you were in challenge mode. Hmm, something to think about going forward.
