NSBL Needs 4 New Owners
The No Strike Baseball League was established in August 2002. The league is somewhat unique because of the rules.
We were the first league that I am aware of that use waiver rules and 40 man rosters to manage your team. We conduct a rule 5 draft at the end of the season. We have tried to model the league as close to Major League Baseball as possible. The league is slow paced. We run one sim a day, but we run it almost every day. You get to micromanage your team. Set up matchups and change strategies based on your opponent. It is not difficult to turn a team around because you can't stockpile talent in the minors because of the 40 man roster rule. We have both a game run Ammy Draft, and something I call the Free Agent Rookie Draft. Every other season (because we will sim 2 season every calendar year) we will import real life rookies from major league baseball and run a draft to assign them to teams. It allows us to keep up to date major league players in the league. If a league like this interests you, please drop me an email. I will be glad to answer any questions you may have. I am in a couple of leagues and in my opinion it is one of the more active leagues on the internet. You will definitely get your money's worth from the league (of course it is free).
