We'll be releasing a patch soon, hopefully by the end of the week. That will have a roster update in it.

Lukas any roster love for my home boy Ben Gamel? As noted a few weeks ago he's went from a projected 4th OF before the season, to a legit starter who can make an impact. He is 3rd in AL in batting .323 avg, and WRC+ of 130 as we near August. Perhaps a small bump as well in base running - Mariners broadcasters have acknowledge multiple times how well he runs base-to-base (certainly subjective, but probably better than "average"). His BSR is +1.4 on the season. Something around potentials of 6-6-3 (or 4)-5-4 seems realistic (avg-2b-hr-bb-K) on the 2-8 scale. I know in a note a few weeks ago sounded like you increased James Paxton stuff and Jean Segura on the M's. Paxton continues to show he is one of the best pitchers in baseball with 10.4K, 2.8 BB, and only 0.4 HR (all per 9 innings of work). His nickname is "Big Maple" if you want to add that in as well. Suggested potentials for Paxton would be 7-7-6 or 7-6-6 (Stuff/Movement/BB). Segura is #2 in the AL with a .329 average, along with .370 OBP and .452 SLG. Will these changes be reflected in the next roster update?

I already made changes to Segura and Paxton to get them in line with their real performances.

Paxton is already in the db with a nick of 'The Big Maple".

They may've just missed the last patch, but they will certainly show up in the final patch we'll be releasing in a couple days.

I boosted Gamel a little as well. I'm still not convinced he's more than an average guy having a flukily good year, but he has been good enough to get a bit of help

Yeah, I've boosted and dropped a ton of ratings based on performances. The Brewers definitely got quite a bit of love

Actually don't expect it at all this year

It's always more of a personal project when we make that happen and without haveband and given that I'll be on vacation in late August and September, it's extraordinarily unlikely we release a Sept 1st update this year.

Was Hyun-Soo Kim adjusted in the latest patch? He was rated 4.5 stars in the previous versions, but he was also just traded for Jeremy Hellickson. That seems to indicate that he doesn't have 4.5-star potential (or current).

No, he wasn't. A lot of it depends on whether you think his performance last year or this year is closer to his true talent level.

I do think he's a bit overrated though, we probably should've toned him down a bit. I've done so now, but obviously that doesn't help for this year

I mostly just knocked his BABIP rating down by about 25 points. Don't think I touched the other ratings too much. It was just a quick and dirty edit.

btw though, it looks like we'll release a maintenance patch in a week or two, so we should get this and some other roster changes into the game then.

Couple things I've noticed on the rosters:

Saw you added a couple new GM's, Erik Neander and Chaim Bloom. Both of them are listed as being 0 years old. Couldn't nail down an exact birthday but Wikipedia estimates Neander as being born in 1983 or 1984. I estimated Bloom as being born in 1982 since he graduated from college in 2004. For their experience, Neander has worked for the Rays since 2007 and Bloom since 2005 or 2006 I believe.

There are a few players on the games who are actually coaches now or listed as such, but are not retired as players: Doug Mathis (P), Mike Jacobs (1B), Lew Ford (OF), and Edinson Rincon (3B).

Last one, on MLB real-life play there is a free agent catcher named Tyler Moore with great ratings. He played for an independent team last year and put up good numbers but I think he's overrated. My theory is his ratings are being produced as if the game thinks he's the actually MLB player Tyler Moore (who's on the Marlins)
