Should Wilbur Duggleby Retire?

In my original play of the EBL league I retired Wilbur Duggleby after the 2026 season primarily because I had no PC and I matched my players up with real MLB players (using stats from baseball weekly) and there was no one on the team that I had them matched up with ( Can not find that info right now)
He has done it all. He has won awards on 2 planets. Won World Series games with the Mets. He is considered to be the G.O.A.T.. His son Charles will appear with Sony next season. So should I let him play one more season with his son or let him retire. Sony failed in the NLDS. Originally I did not have the DH in 2026 and beyond.

He had 56 HRs and a zillion RBIs last season, in the infamous words of the Band "Doucette"........... "momma let em play, let em play"

Fitting his hometown is "Cooperstown"

I agree. How can you retire after a 56 HR / 161 RBI season? I understand going out on top but that would be crazy to leave so much on the field. Plus he can play with his son? They should not allow such an incredible opportunity for both father and son slip away.

I had the good fortune to see Gordie Howe play with his sons. It was magical.

So far i am the only one who voted for him to retire. Threads open for 2 weeks but would like to see around 10-15 total votes.

I don't see any reason he couldn't play even longer than 1 season. He probably should be moved off of center field, but if he keeps producing offensively, you can take the hit on D (esp. if it comes in a corner) for sure

He was released once when he was batting under .100. If he struggles i will retire him at the end of June or if he gets released again. His son is doing decent.
