Trading for Players Rights

I've started a career in the WHL and I have made a trade for a players rights that is currently playing on another WHL team. My problem is that I made the trade and accepted it but the player is still on the other team's roster like nothing happened. I'm not sure if I just don't understand how it works or if it is some type of error. Thanks for the help.

Was it a player who had signed with an NHL team, then was reassigned to the WHL? I believe there's a bug that prevents them from moving to a new WHL team in that situation, but I thought we'd worked around that by not allowing players like that to be traded. If that's the case and it let you make the trade, was it in a game that you started recently, or an old save that was begun with a previous version of the game?

Ya, that's exactly what the situation is, and it's a new game that I started last week.

I just had exactly the same issue, but I traded the rights. Have had multiple teams accept the trade. Feel guilty if I accept them all!!
