Talent Change Randomness
I was hoping I could get some feedback on what others have been using for this setting. What seems to be the most realistic setting?

Not sure there really is an answer to your question. It depends on how much variance you potentially want. The higher the number the bigger the odds. The lower the smaller. I think it is set at 100 as a default so I would imagine that is what is recomended.
I like variance. I have mine set at 135. |

Does this setting mostly effect the younger players (such as the prospects still developing in the minors)? Or does it also have significant influence on older, established veterans as well?

I don't think anyone but a developer can completely answer this, but talent changes in general happen a lot more when players are in their "development" years. So, my assumption is that this setting would affect younger players a lot more than older players.

if you turn it off, development is stil the same general process.
it's a seperate force altogether from development. it does exactly what it sounds like it does... randomly changes ratings. the main effect is out of the 1000s of players drafted late-teens-to-40th+ more of them will turn out -- purely due to randome increases. the decreases cannot hurt an already sad bunch. best info in forums was a post about WAR relative to draft round and the effect TCR had on it... google or search in forums for it. |
