Need Help... Extract Reports
I have a question. I'm hosting a League with myself and 3 buddies on my PC. We tried to do an online league but we are really dumb and simply couldn't get it up and running.
So I started one on my PC and then relay information via text or email about the seasons progress. My question is... is there a way for me to extract some of the information so I don't have to transcribe it into an excel file or word doc? Information like standings, transactions, etc. and the. Send it to the via email. if there is how do I go about doing that? Thanks for the help. |

For at least some info, you should be able to get all the league reports saved as HTML files, by selecting "view in browser". That should get you the transactions, financials, injuries, and more. I think you will find said files in the directory "<game>/news/html/leagues". If you send it via email, then your buddies will also want the base css file, as well as all the game images, to make the pages view better.
Hope that helps! -kr- |

side note - keep doing as you are with the workaround, but don't give up setting up something online... i have not done it, but the forums likely have good info for you, and maybe even a helpful hand or two, especially if show what you've learned so far.
it will be by far the best option for what you want to do. |

Mnaual League Reports
The best way to do this is to run it through a server. You can have your league hosted by http://www.allsimbaseball.com/ . It does cost a little money so that may not be the option for you.
If you are going to do it manually then here are some options: You can use Windows Snip tool to take screen shots, crop them and save them in paint. You can then put them in a Drop Box (or other no charge file sharing) account that you share with your friends. They can DL the images and get league updates. Takes about 10 minutes Or Email them the images directly. If you have an archiving program (ie. 7-Zip, WinRar, etc) you can zip them to shrink the file size allowing more images per email. OOTP has a built in tool to export some information to a browser. Transactions: On the transactions screen there is a button “Open in External Browser”. This will create a webpage in your browser with the screen. You can then save it and email or File Share to GMs. On a Team Roster screen (“Players” tab) there is a “Reports” button. If you select “Write Report to Disk” it will open the page in a Browser. Then save and distribute. I cannot find anything for standings. You can do a screen shot with the in game tool (F12) or a snipping tool like Snip for Windows. Good Luck, Tom (LP) Post if you run into problems.
