Thumbs up New bullpen screen

The new bullpen screen is a fantastic addition to v18. Part of the beauty is you don't have to have warmups on to use it and the widget is so small it is easy to incorporate into my existing configuration. Note how the widgets sit nicely in the top banner.

Totally agree. Love this feature! I've been wishing for this for a long time. My only ask is that it can be incorporated into the screen "auto-layout". Everything fits so nicely with that configuration, versus the layout when done manually.

Amazing!

Maybe my post/mockup inspired them?

I can not find the new bullpen screen. Everything is updated but somehow it is eluding me. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It should automatically show up, it did for me. But trying hitting configure screen and then click the auto box.

And I like mine neatly tucked into foul territory so that I can follow the flight of the majestic home run (389 feet, but it is 1917) by my man Skylar May. See ball location, indicated, as it flies out of the park. (This is a PbP replay; Flores was on deck.)

I like the new bullpen screen, how does one when playing against the computer manager, have their pitchers show up when warming up? Mine I see, but computer is changing pitchers and they aren't in the warmup box. It would be nice to see who is warming up so one could consider different pinch hitters. Yes, I'm playing with the warmup rule. Any thoughts?

I have a 24" monitor.. but I can't fit all the widgets on the screen without having to downsize the field, so I have to compromise.. I'm trying to talk the wife into letting me get a 27"-32" monitor.

I'm pretty sure I read that the AI doesn't use the warm-up rule. It's only for human players.

I like having the bullpen screen, but if the computer manager doesn't use the bullpen warmup option, am I not penalizing myself if I only play vs the computer. I can see using it playing H2H. I'm not complaining, just curious. Thanks again to all who responded.

Yes, you are making it tougher on yourself. I was hesitant to turn it on. However, I found as I played through a season (I played out every game) that having to warm-up pitchers made me actually focus more on what I was doing and what was going on in the game. I wouldn't fault anyone for not using it but I'm leaving it on.

And yes, I did lose a game or two because I screwed up and didn't get a pitcher warming up soon enough.

I havent used the warm up feature since I learned the AI doesnt use it, makes no sense to handicap myself while there are some debatable "issues" about warming up pitchers, i just decided to turn it off and save myself one headache while managing these games

I mean, I tend to feel like the AI needs every advantage it can get, but you do you.

In my case, I'm not managing or GMing, just watching games of interest throughout the league so if the AI used warm up it effects nothing.

Clicking the title of the Bullpen widget should go directly to the bullpen screen since the "Go to Substitution" link is within that screen. The area below the title could show the pitchers that are warming up. The only other info required would be pitcher throws L/R and the status of a human controlled player (maybe a green, yellow and red dot indicating tiredness).

If one finds that seeing the AI's bullpen gives too much of an advantage to the human player it's easy enough to remove that widget from the screen. Any aesthetic addition that draws me into watching more games is welcomed by me.

There are many, many ways to cheat the AI in this game. If you restrict all these cheats maybe there wouldn't be a game at all. People are different. "Play it your way!"
