Logos, jerseys, ballcaps, and scrollbar
I've found two problems that are becoming game-breakers for me.
The first is that whenever I change a team's logo or jersey, whenever I close the game, it reverts back to the generic original. I looked in other forums for solutions to this problem and was astonished to find that this appears to just be how the game is made. Unless the team's name corresponds exactly with the file name of the logo you use, it reverts back to the generic original upon reloading the game. Not even when I click the option to lock the team's logos -- this actually doesn't do anything. I spent several hours customizing a fictional league and changing around logos and jerseys, only to see them ALL revert back to the generic originals upon re-opening the game. This was obviously very frustrating because one of the most basic components of any modern game is that the changes you make are actually saved when you save the game. I shouldn't have to rename hundreds of files so that when I click "save game" it will actually save the game. Second, whenever I select an option on any drop-down list, if the drop-down list is part of a list with a scrollbar, as soon as the option is selected it immediately scrolls back up to the top of the page. This is an incredible waste of time when, say, editing the structure of a larger league, because every time you move a team, it scrolls all the way back to the top. All this amounts to a complete wasted holiday creating what I thought would be a cool quickstart -- might have even posted it here. But now it will take far too long to fix this and remake everything, unless someone has a solution. |

As long as you load them in-game, they really should overwrite your old files. What you're describing is definitely not the game working as designed! What version of the game are you using, are you on the latest patch? What process did you follow to make the changes, can you walk me through the steps you took while editing one team? Also links to the other places where you mention you found the same issue described might be helpful! As far as the scrollbar, that is the game working as designed, but I agree it's sub-optimal. There may be some technical reason for it though, I'm not sure. I'll log that as an issue and and see if the devs have any thoughts.

We'll need some more info to reproduce this.
Can you or anyone else that has this problem provide us with the following info for a few cases where this is happening? The team name, nickname, file names of the uni files, folders where the files are located in, before and after screenshots. Thanks!

Hey! Since Im new I have no Idea where to post this:/
So, I downloaded OOTP 18 yesterday and wanted to start a fictional league. I got the Nickname Project mod because I wanted to have custom jerseys and Logos. However the jerseys, logos and caps are not showing up and I have to do everything manually, which is a little frustrating! My friend got this working on OOTP 17 and there, everything auto-loaded. I would really appreciate some help! Im playing on a macbook if that helps! Thank you for helping me! (Oh and excuse my english. Im not a native speaker) Greetings from Austria |
