Play as Active GM?

So I know I can created Dombrowski for instance, but when I get into the game he is moved to Assistant GM. I can fire him, but he'll still be listed in the Available Staff list.

Any fix here?

EDIT: Figured it out. I created a Commissioner for the league, fired Dombrowski, delete him, then created him as my player. Someone may chime in with a 2 click solution, but I'll just be talking to myself and making workarounds over here

you can have a gm and player of the same name.. not sure of the goal..

if you want him as the gm too, you'd have to play as a coach only... then use GM-Legacy Mode checkbox in Global Settings in order to control your team as if you were still the GM.

he won't be bumped to "assistant" that way. since you're dinking around, may want to look if his contract is sucking money from you in the current year (misc expenses? maybe?)... he'd be an expensive one, i'd assume, if ~1M is going to make a difference for you, that is.
