Importing OOTP17 league to OOTP18: "Could not load injuries file"
I'm at a slight loss here. Trying to import an OOTP17 league with OOTP18 on Mac.
I created this game on OOTP on PC, then migrated to OOTP on Mac, and wonder if the game didn't handle that transition well because it broke some links in-file that I had to fix, etc. I'm trying to import my online league to OOTP18. It gets through the whole thing, until it tries to load the newly created file, and I get this message: ![]() I've tried this a thousand times but it always throws this error at this point. Any help is appreciated as my league is at a standstill until we can fix this. Last edited by CubbyFan23; 05-25-2017 at 06:09 PM. |

Do you have an "injuries.txt" file in your save game directory? If so, versions from previous game won't load properly. You'll need to delete that file, and then the game should end up loading the default injuries.txt file from the data directory instead, which should not cause an error.
It's also possible that something also went wrong with the injuries file in your data folder as well, especially if you're using a custom data folder, so you may need to check that file as well. Basically, we changed the injury files, and any custom ones from 17 will cause an error. |

Thanks for the quick response, Matt.
I don't think there's an injuries.txt file in my saved games folder, screenshot below (unless it's in a subfolder or a file that I'm not seeing with a different name). ![]() I haven't done anything with the injuries.txt in OOTP18 data folders that I'm aware of. Is there some way to check that? I've already uninstalled and reinstalled OOTP18. |

I had the same problem occur on one of my saved games, which I previously imported from OOTP17. I tried to re-import the same saved game and got the same error message. I have submitted a support ticket and uploaded my files for OOTP to look at. No problem under Build 54, but when I downloaded 56, this message appeared. Build 57 has produced no different result. Strange thing is, it is only for the one saved game. All my others work. Don't know if it has something to do with the fact that game is in the 1870's, as my other games are for present day. My game has been only on PC.

I'm having the same problem. There's no injuries.txt in my save game folder. Is there a fix to this yet? Thanks.

I found a workaround. If you copy the injuries.txt file from OOTP18 and place it in your OOTP17 save file, the game will import.
