Havent seen a foul out to ANYONE except first basemen

I've played hundreds of games w/ OOTP 17, and have played several now w/OOTP18 . I don't think I've EVER seen one foul out to the catcher.
A couple of foul outs to RF and maybe a few to 1Bman.
But not once a FOU to C.
Anyone else? I wouldn't call it a bug. And I realize a lot has to do with batter/pitcher combo. But still...never a foul out to C?
Other than that...great job dev team with OOTP 18. As great as ever...and now even better.

Agreed, Rob. Been playing the great OOTP for many versions and I've had the same foul out limitations. And that's in the context of (imho) way too many foul balls.

But man what a game.

Know this is an old(ish) thread but remembered reading it while watching a game today (see attached screenshot).

This is 16, so I don't know if something drastically changed in the 17 coding, but this isn't the first foul out to a catcher I've seen, and I typically only watch the league's playoff games.

I'm not certain what your post actually suggests, but I've seen many foul outs to catchers, third basemen, and a few corner outfielders.

Me too and I'm a simmer.

Is it right? Don't know but you know this team will get to it.

I've had 2b run 'em down for sure and pretty sure SS too. I play out all of my games and it's such a normal thing to see IRL so I can't say I've paid much attention to frequency in OOTP. I specifically recall 2b because due to injury I claimed a guy on waivers and his first game he ran down a foul ball.

Also, as others have stated, I have seen C, corner OF, 1b, and 3b .

I agree with the OP that foul balls caught for outs are quite infrequent when compared to the real-world game, but at the same time it's somewhat pointless because the live game is not simulating the physics of the sport but is just showing representations of pre-determined outcomes. If the goal is to make it seem more like a real baseball game, then I would say there are about a million other things that need to be fixed before the frequency of foul balls.

Foul out to C are rare in MLB. Even stipulating that all catches by catchers were foul in 2016 it comes to 1 in 7.36 games played.
