another how to question - curving txt in gimp

how does one get txt to curve when editing a logo in gimp? For instance, I want to put txt around a circular part of the logo. Any way to do that?

You need to create a path and then use the Text Along Path feature. There are tutorials online. It's not the easiest process to get it just the way you want it.

OK. watched 3 different tutorials. That is definitely not an easy nor intuitive process. I'll have to play around with this a bit because right now all I get is scrambled letters.
