New to the game but???

I am a long time strat o matic player and thought I would give this a try. My question is......I want to start a league with 16 teams using major league players and a fantasy draft. When I try fictional all the players are fictional, when I try Real world league it doesn't let me make 2 divisions of 8 teams. Is there anyway to create a league using 1 sub league 2 divisions 8 teams per have a fantasy draft using major league players. The process in strat o matic was simple, this seems to be more difficult than it needs to be.PLEASE HELP.

Go into real world and click advanced. Edit the league structure there. Delete teams etc.

You should be able to edit the league. Are you deleting teams and then changing the divisions?

By chance, are you trying to play in Challenge Mode?

you may want to edit league structure after you create the leauge, anyway...

depends on what you want done with those players form teams you deleted... i believe they'll just be FA, which will be difficult to round up and delete if that's what you want to do with them...

if you take 30 teams, reduce to 16, but keep the talent from 30, ... you are going to have flat stats for sure. too much talent, likely a problem. (short-term problem)

start a new custom league from main ootp app -- real mlb option from league setup wizard is all you need to do to get it started... then click advanced setup...

if you want them as FA, go ahead and start editing the league structure... otherwise, create game, delete players from entire ogranizations you intend to remove from the leauge, then edit structure.
