I dont think the workshop items (OOTP18) are auto-updating through Steam

I have more than a few items in my (Steam version) OOTP18 workshop, among them the Historical Ballparks (a tremendous job and well worth it for those of us playing historical teams).
However, even though my OOTP auto-updated to v .54 through Steam, if I click on "update available...click here to download" for my Hist BP workshop item.,,,nothing.
Nothing happens, download or install,even if I wait a good while (it's a large download). Same for the other large or small items in my workshop.
I remember a similar workshop d-load/install Steam/OOTP 18 issue recently...has this ever been fixed by the OOTP 18 team?
I'd really like to not have to unzip and install all 120+ ballparks myself into the ballparks/models folder.
And yes,I checked...the older ballparks are still in my ballparks./models folder.
Any advice? Mods?Devs? OOTP players?

Try this to see if it sparks the download of the workshop content.

Close OOTP Baseball

Right-click the game in your Steam Library and select Properties.

Then, on the Local Files Tab click on "Verify Integrity of Game Files"

I just did this...after a while Steam gives me the message "all files successfully validated." I understand what this MEANS, but I don't understand how it applies to the workshop files. Does this mean that if the game things it has updated the workshop files properly, including installation?
***EDITED: I didnt realize: i did the above but it was for OOTP 17. I just did this for OOTP18, and it downloaded/installed(?) for a long time (I guess that MAY have been the Hist BPs file?), but even though it said "2 of 2 items complete" for the download (install?) in Steam, and the blue bar finished...the "Validating Steam files" progress bar has been stuck at 99% for 10 minutes now. Not sure if it's "finished", so I don't want to cancel. I wonder if ,since the blue bar said download (install?) complete but this taskbar says 99%...is it done? Questions,questions. Guess I'll walk away for a while. if it's still at 99% in half an hour. I'll assume something's wrong.

Yes, of the 2 downloads it sparks one will be "OOTP Baseball 18" and the other will be "Steam Workshop Items" The bar means nothing with the workshop items and Historical Ballparks is very large and takes a while.

Hemi...you were absolutely correct, and thanks! It installed everything. Just took FOREVER to get from 99% to "finished". I'm not the most patient person.

So true. Now if the devs could only fix the "never any foul outs to the C" issue I've been having since I began playing OOTP (OOTP17). Hundreds of games...never ONE foul out to the C. And only a few foul outs to ANYONE, at any ballpark,at any time.

I'm relatively new to OOTP, bought 16 but didn't really get into it until earlier this year, then decided to try 18 and love it. But I hadn't noticed the foul-out issue until you just mentioned it. I never get them either. Once in a while the infielders do, [s]but never the catcher[/s].

EDIT: Just had it happen.

Hemi: STILL waiting for my first FOUL out to C! I've played hundreds of games with OOTP18 and OOTP18; I've never seen one yet.
