New Game Creation

I would like to play the 2016 MLB season with all 29 teams plus my own custom team. All 29 teams would be the "real" rosters but mine would be
a team of favorite players from all different years. I know how to create/draft my custom team but am unsure as to how to insert this team into this game. How can I do this?
I would be deleting the 2016 Mets and adding my own "favorites" team in
it's place.

some choices to make..

want the mets players released, deleted, or...? etc... make sure to handle them as you want.

i think the fastest way would be to start a real 2016 league in Creation wizard, but go to advanced mode.

now add your team (does this add affiliates? i can't recall, but cannibalize the mets affiliates if it does not), remove the mets... i believe this will make them FA - maybe even a note on that sreen in creation saying this ("league structure" if so)?

if removing mets during game creation process also deletes the former mets players once you get the game going and you want them to exist, add your team as a 31st team during game creation and, then you will have to remove mets in game after it loads the first time and also regenerate a 30team schedule (or load the real 2016 one etc) once you have 30 Teams again in the ML. take their affiliates unless you wnat custom mil too.

how to add your playrs?

i believe you import historical players inside the game.. maybe in free agency list maybe you can do it in your team roster page, not sure... maybe it's "list all..." ... if you don't see it on one long list of all players, then go to the next area that has similar info eventually a drop down list will offer importing historical player 1by 1 by lahman id i believe. (check manual for specifics)

add them one by one, then place on your team... probably want to delete at least your pre-filled 25-man roster before you start adding them, of course. and whatever you need to do with mil affiliates etc...
