Draft Pick Retired
My 19 year old first round draft pick retired mid-way through his first season in Rookie Ball. It says he went to pursue professional football. Is there anyway he will unretire? If no, Can I force it? Someone please help.
Thanks. |

If you turn on commish mode you can unretire him. Unless you're playing in Challenge Mode, in which case you can't turn on the commish powers and there's nothing that can be done.

I like this particular storyline, cuz it is realistic, after all... but I feel like there should be some sort of pre-draft warning for players like this. Or at least, warning signs, so you can gauge the risk before using a high draft pick on one. Maybe it could only hit guys with low work ethic (with the reasoning that their baseball work ethic is low because they're more focused on football/basketball or whatever)? After all, I don't think any GM in baseball history has ever drafted a player and then been blindsided later to discover that--gasp!--the guy actually plays another sport, too, and is a pro prospect in that one, as well.

Condredge Holloway was drafted fourth overall by the Expos in 1971 but went to college instead, where he became a star quarterback. (He never played pro baseball, but wound up in Canada anyway...as a Hall of Fame QB in the CFL!)

I remember Holloway. The CFL in the '70s was even better than the CFL today.
