Multi-Inning Relif Pitchers?
Even when my bullpen is completely rested the AI manager seems to bring in 1 reliever and use him for 2 innings.
Why when all my guys are rested do they bring the in closer in the 8th and make him pitch two full innings? Why not bring in my 8th inning set up guy and then the closer in the 9th? I have the settings structured for traditional bullpen roles. This seems like a bug.  That makes no sense, is this something that can be fixed? |

Interesting.. I had not noticed this until recently... But I did not see it all season as I follow every game. I did start noticing it when I clinched as a playoff team and they started bringing in my closer in the 8th. Curious if they are trying to "stretch" him out for the playoffs but not sure.

I would check your "hook" settings and if that doesn't fix it set a pitch count for each pitcher. For 1 inning guys 15-20 should do it
