I've never seen a career performance quite like this.
In the first 12 seasons of my MLB Quickstart Noah Syndergaard won 12 Cy Youngs and 7 MVPs! At least 3 of the years he didn't win MVP he still finished 2nd.
I've been playing OOTP for a while now, and I've seen some dominant performances, but I don't recall ever seeing one player, real or fictional, dominate for such an extended period of time. I mean, just for a pitcher to stay healthy enough to be considered for those awards for 12 straight years is amazing enough. Crazy stuff. Has anyone else had a player do something similar? |

I have noticed, the game tends to name pitchers as MVP's a bit too much. I ended up disabling that pitchers could win in both the WCB (made a Pitcher of the Tournament award) and MLB due to that.

That is quite the run! I have had Kershaw, Trout and Harper put up same amazing numbers in modern day but nothing quite like that.

I'd like to see it as well. Post a screen shot.

I've never tried this before, and it was taken from my phone, but you should be able to see the 12 Cy Youngs and the 7 MVPs. |

There is a thing called the snip tool.
Not dogging your photo taking skills but...

i don't know if i've seen 12 cy youngs, but i've seen a few truly dominate for 10+ years. a great knuckleballer can do that for sure, but you don't see them often to say it's something to bet on seeing. it's defintiely within the realm of possible, though. aging/health the main issues, if they have the ratings.
how-to, for OP: if PC, you hit the "print screen" key, then 'paste' (shortcut is: Control-V) it into anything like MS Paint or any number of other programs... then save to a known spot. before you save, you can easily 'select' an area and 'crop' it with ms paint -- good enough for anythign you'll need a picture of in ootp. a screenshot proves nothing, anyway... so, don't worry about it. so, then it would go from "pics or it didn't happen" to something new as a reason... the goal line will just move on you. no real way to prove providence... maybe in challenge mode, but i'm 100% certain you could use a hexeditor to cheat in that too... lol. for %@$s and grins i made a coach in the hockey game with maxed ratings in the "path to glory" or whatveer it's called ![]() but, you could do alot more than just simple things like that... could figure out the memory address of length of injury time etc, then change it to "0", freeze that value for each player, probably lose them when it occurs, though... but maybe not. heck, get any result you want at any time in a game like this... richw's example can't occur in my leagues... the other thing to consider... (not negative nor positive in nature - simply is true for many situations of comparing 2 different leagues in OotP)
you want to see the league baseline averages (not exact, just a year is fine in this context) to really know how good they are... i guess era+ adjusts for league stats each year? so that stat can be very telling when comparing between leagues with different statistical environments... if it doesn't scale then it's just as bad as the rest-- i can't recall at the moment. but a stat that is relative to the league is best for comparison between leagues, nonetheless. snip tool? heh, takes care of cropping immediately, not too shabby. that jsut might overtake the ms paint "often used" app in my start menu... once i click it enough, anyway. i have an affinity for keyboard shortcuts, though. takes me back to memories of "supercalc" spreadsheet in dos, lol. |

Okay, I'm going to try this again with a better screenshot. Thanks for everyone's help and patience, and for the record, I'm not complaining about Syndergaard's performance. I just thought it was incredible and wondered if others had experienced anything similar. As always, this is a great game!

Wow, to stay healthy that long. In my current game I had Kluber leading in all pitching triple crown categories when he got hurt in late July. On the plus side it's a 2 month injury so he'll be back for a warm-up start or 2 before the post season.
