Fantasy draft budgets
To make the teams budgets realistic in a fantasy draft should I use all teams player payroll or teams total budget. Because if I used the Red Sox get like $243 M which doesn't seem correct. Help please.

bigger budget will correlate to more initial success, for sure... no gaurantees though
regardless of all equal or startified, make it relative to the finances of your league. if avearge payroll is ~150M make sure the draft budgets are somewhere near that average, too. so, do you want them all starting on equal footing or not? that's the question you need to answer.. then if not, how are you going to stratify it. if this isn't a real MLB league, don't assume market sizes match what you expect - you may need to change them to fit... if it's a real player league, then you can go based on familiarity of the MLB and assume the market sizes are good to go. |
