Setting player purchase price/ FA posting fee

Just what it says in the title. What if anything do folks use as guidelines for these amounts in a league? I'm setting up a P/R league and want lower leagues to be able to peddle their players. I think I only want to allow straight sales but we'll see!

Not to be one of those "boo hoo nobody replied" people, but this is the second time I've asked this with no reply. Does everyone just use whatever default values the game puts?

I'm trying to figure out how in a P/R setup purchases will.work... I want the lowest teams to be able to sell players without getting enough cash to screw up relative salary structures.

I have only used it once in one game, but I keep the purchase price to the equivalent of super star salary in the league the purchased player comes from. Don't know if there is a better way to do this.

Thanks cavebutter... it will be interesting to see if that causes salaries to rise over time.

I've been thinking of using the average salary but maybe that gives upper leagues too much advantage too cheaply.

I have 4 indy leagues and set the posting price at $50,000 which is nothing to a ML team so they buy indy players like nothing which is what is supposed to happen. I set the international price at $500K but notice ML teams still buy Japanese players at a brisk pace so I just upped it to $1mil to make it a bit harder.
