Stamina affects Overall and Potential Ratings

Hello,

Is stamina affecting some players overall ratings and potential ratings? I just joined a 20-80 player rating league, and I am seeing some relievers with really low overall and potential ratings, that have mediocre to above average movement, stuff, and control. Anybody else seeing this?

For example: In a 0-100 rating scale, should a 68/64/49 Prospect have the lowest possible potential rating of 20?

It is making finding my best relievers difficult!

With relievers I see that the "overall and potential ratings" are a bit wacky with them. There could be a guy who is 70/60/50 with a 65 fastball and a 70 curve be a 1.5-2.5 star player but they still produce decent numbers. I would say look at stats like ERA, FIP and BABIP over ratings for relievers.

It must not be stamina, because Kenley Jansen still has a high player rating with a low stamina number.

I hope the ratings will get a tweak at some point, it being early in the release and all.

Do you have "Overall ratings based on all players, not positions" checked? I assume that is going to knock down the ratings for pitchers who can only physically pitch in relief.

I should also mention that this type of rating combination isn't really very natural, but is something that they have to do with the Real Rosters to make sure that players get used more or less like their real life counterparts. There are very few fictional players with this low of a stamina rating.

That could be it. The settings of the online league are unknown to me, but if the ratings are relative to all players rather than players of their position, then I suppose this could be what I am noticing.
