Busy Trainers ?
I really like the new addition of in-game injuries where sometimes the player will just shake it off, and sometimes the player needs to be removed from the game.
As someone who plays out all of his games, one at bat at a time, I noticed (although I understand my sample size is small - I have played 21 games so far) the trainer comes out on the field to check on players every single game. There are no games I have played from those 21 where one of the two trainers didn't have to go check on a player on the field (in 10 of those games, both trainers had to come out). One game, trainers had to come out 4 times total (1 player only had to be taken out). This really doesn't sound realistic to me. I think maybe some of the text should be more varied so that some of the injuries the player shakes off himself without the trainer going to check on them ? This is a normal fictional setting with injuries set on Normal btw. I love the game. It just bothers me a bit to see that trainers have to come out every single game to check on players. I've watched a lot of baseball in my life and that is not accurate. Did anyone else notice something similar ? Is there a setting somewhere that I can tweak to reduce the number of times the trainer has to check on a player ? Again, not bashing on the game. It just feels off. Like, a new feature was introduced and put on steroids right away... |

Yes, I have noticed this. A bit too frequent but not too bad. This happens with OOTPB periodically, as you put it, "a new feature was introduced and put on steroids right away." Not something you can adjust, I don't think.
I seem to remember something similar happening with suspensions when they were introduced; guys were dukeing it out and getting suspended like every other day, it was ridiculous. The developers eventually catch on and adjust things like this.

Yes, after playing out games for a full season: Definitely, this needs to be toned down a bit.
