Some tips for a better, and more real, WBC experience

Once loading the game, modify these tournament settings:

Rules
Active roster size: 28
Reserve roster size: 15 (ideally lower, but game does not allow)

Stats & AI
Typical Starting Rotation: 3 man rotation
Number of relievers (DH League): 10
Number of position players (DH League): 15

After doing this, teams with more that 28 players will send some pitchers to the reserve squad. Creating the “designated pitcher pool” that was in place during the tournament.

Unfortunately teams with 3 catchers will send the worst one to the reserve squad.

Rotations will look as real as possible.

Thanks for the tip! I am still playing with getting what I want. This helps. The other thing I am thinking of trying is editing the nationalities of the players that make up the MLB feeder league. Currently the U.S.A. is 64.77%, and Brazil is a meager 0.15%. That means the U.S. team is stacked with 5 star players, and a team like Brazil is full of 1/2 star ghost players. So I was thinking of editing that to give the tournament bit more parity.

My first stab is this:

USA 20
Dominican Republic 8
Venezuela 8
Puerto Rico 7
Canada 7
Mexico 6
Cuba 6
Australia 6
Panama 5
Colombia 5
Taiwan 4
Netherlands 4
Japan 4
Nicaragua 4
South Korea 3
Brazil 3
Total 100

But I am more than open to suggestions...

Anyone able to help me get the logos to show up? I downloaded them but they're not showing up for me

Most of them here, though some had some color modifications that i edited myself, for example venezuela.

How did you set it up? If I choose all of the leagues, where do I go next to set up the WBC style tournament?

No need to set it up. It's just there by default; on the league drop down menu, just go all the way down. the WBC is the last one.
