Team Focus Question

Not sure if it is new or not but now there is an option, for team focus, that is build a dynasty. Anyone know how this differs from rebuild/win now?

Rebuild=Prospect focus only
Win now=Trade prospects for vets
Dynasty=Championship team that focuses on player development

Any thoughts?

I have observed the AI deal with team focus in this manner:
Rebuild = change everything
Win Now = add top players to what we have
Dynasty = we won before so don't change anything

That's not how I treat them, but I am not sure the AI trades vets for prospects and vice versa in the same manner that the human player does. I think these different focus modes are more about taking action than about what type of action from the AI perspective.

As far as the owner goal to build a dynasty, I am pretty sure he doesn't care how you get there.

Well, the way I interpret that is

Rebuild - don't care about winning at all - just focus on prospects

Win now - don't care about prospects - just focus on winning.

Dynasty - Win while also focusing on the future - so a combo of both.

I haven't paid much attention to this like i did in the past versions but isn't there an option to change the Team Focus? I thought you could do it any time during the year. Has this changed?

Hate to pull an old thread but was wondering the same as Aceshigh was. Any idea on if we can change this?

may need comissioner mode on? or just be the gm, not sure... but it's in the team settings screen. (team home -> team settings tab)

if not there dink around in team area tabs, or check manual... try with comissioner mode on, too.

Should be on your Front Office page with a dropdown and, yes, I think you have to be GM or commish.
