MLSB Opening

Major League Simulation Baseball started in 2015 with real rosters and we are currently completing our fifth season and about to enter the 2020 offseason. We sim every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday. Our league website is Home. We currently have four teams open, each differing in the level of challenge that they will offer. We have teams that will require a good bit of rebuilding to become contenders (Padres), teams that are currently in good positions to compete (Yankees, Cubs), and teams that are somewhere in the middle (Expos). We have some unique rules regarding contract extensions that can be seen on our website. Also, some newer rule changes do not appear to be listed on the website, such as the abolition of the Rule 5 Draft. MLSB communicates through our forums and through Slack. Also, we are currently using OOTP 16, but we are planning to move to OOTP 18 when it is released. In desperate need of GMs. We're hoping to get the offseason started soon but we still lack GMs for the Astros, Brewers, Cubs, Expos, Padres, and Yankees.

Yankees open. It will take a creative GM to get them out of their current situation. They aren't a bad team, but they're old and full of huge contracts.

Yankees and Astros open. Astros have a pretty solid team currently.

Astros and Royals open. Both are good teams. Astros need someone to turn them from a collection of good players to a complete team. Royals are set to compete as is and have a good farm system.
