Question about Face Gen

I'm not a new player, but I've never been sure about how to do this. I downloaded the Historic Player Face Gen pack from Add On Central, and while it's great, I was wondering how to go back to the default Face Gen pack that came with the game. Do I have to delete the Historic One, and if so, where do I do that? I'm always afraid I'm going to mess something up. Thanks for any help!

I just took a look at it, if you are talking about the mod shown in the screen print below. Before you added this, you had 1,105 files in your fg_files folder. These are, I believe, the current MLB players which come with the game.

When you installed the Historical FaceGen Image Pack, you added 18,243(!) files of player images from throughout MLB history. These files were mixed in with the 1,105 default files, and some of those 1,105 were probably overwritten, or skipped, when players' pictures were in both files.

My point is that it would be difficult to remove the Historical FaceGen Image Pack without deleting some of the original 1,105 default files. You could just delete the entire folder, try to reinstall the game, and hope it recreates the original fg_files folder, but why bother? All of the 1,105 players are still in there, in one form or the other, and they and the others will be available to you if and when needed in the future.

Thank you for your response, I was just wondering if some of the Face Gen files that came with the game looked a little better (or up to date) than the ones from the Historic Face Gen file, but it isn't really a big deal, and from the sounds of it, trying to remove it would be more trouble than it's worth.

I'm very particular about my Facegens, and I have a copy of the pristine Facegen folder that ships with the game (I keep it in a separate place for posterity). PM me if you're still interested.

One possibility, if you really want to use the Facegens that shipped and are worried about those that may have been overwritten by the historical mod, is to cut-and-paste this folder over top of the one on your hard drive. That will "re-overwrite" the Facegens that the historical mod overwrote, if that makes any sense.
