Buying the game questions

So I have a laptop that is running out of life and I'm planning to buy a new one here soon. I have a few questions...

1. Am I still able to preorder and get the game on the 20th?

2. If I get the game on my old laptop am I able to transfer the game to the new laptop somehow or would I have to buy the game again?

1. Yes

2. You never have to buy the game twice.

You can install OOTPB on two machines at once. Don't forget to un-license the game on your old laptop to keep both of your instances available for future use. You can copy your saved games directory (containing the ".lg" files) to the new machine to continue playing your existing leagues.

Don't forget to copy your fg_files, ballcaps, logos, and jerseys folders over also, as well as your skin files, if you have installed any custom skins.

Ok so I pick my new laptop up today I have already downloaded and bought the game on my old laptop.
Can someone please help me so that I can be sure to download on my new laptop when I get off work?
I'm not real computer savvy and I didn't buy some great laptop I only use it for fantasy sports and OOTP. So any great detail will help. Thanks to all and loved the game even on the slow older laptop.

Like Orcin said, go into OTTP on your old laptop and find settings on the OOTP home screen. You should see a tab that says "License." From there you can unlicense the game on your old laptop so it frees up your 2 licenses.

If you have any games you want to transfer over, you will want to search the path below to find your saved games:

C:\Users"your name"\Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 18\saved_games

If you don't care about your saved game and you want to start over than just unlicense and install on your new laptop.

Hope that helps.

here's a tutorial, RchW put together last year for someone. Has pics and step by step. It start on how to back-up, but continue to scroll down and you;ll get to the part on how to restore that back-up. Hope it helps and good luck.
