Game hangs up when I minimize

Everytime I minimise the game it just comes back as a blank, white screen. There is no way to restore the game rather than shutting it down in the task manager.

This is what I get. This is a Steam version of the game, if that helps. First time I've ever done the Steam version and the first time I've had this problem.

This is still happening after the update. I think this issue is the same/similar to those having the problems with the alt-tab crash.

I've always had this problem, even in OOTP17. I always play in windowed mode.

Same here. Clicking the icon in toolbar to minimize seems to take care of this issue.

Still happening after the latest update. So disappointing as I've never had this issue with 3 previous versions of OOTP on this machine.

I know it doesn't sound like a big issue but the amount of times I've accidentally minimised it just out of habit means I've lost several weeks of progress in my league.
