WAR stats diferent from Baseball Reference

I just started a new game with the M's and I noticed that the career WAR of the players are lower than the their baseball reference page. What's the deal?

OOTP uses a different formula for WAR, one which Markus and the team came up with themselves.

And we don't have a way to import a player's defensive runs at the moment, so, for example, a guy like Griffey basically imports as if he was a neutral fielder every season, while in reality he was well above average.
