How do I create this league?

Okay, so I've been trying to set up a game now and I keep missing out different elements.

What I want to do is create a fictional league, using only real players, starting in 1970, and tinker with a couple of the teams (location, etc)

If I create it with the fantasy option it doesn't use real players, even though I selected import historical rookies - and if I make it with the historical option it limits what I can move/do...

Any suggestions?
