Rating Scale Bug?

So this is what I found, I don't know if this was a mistake or intended (It's certainly not consistent).

The 1 rating is 30 points but every rating after is 20 points. Which is deflating every 10-point rating by 1/2 a rating from OOTP17.

That seems intentional, not like a bug. Thank you for the research.

Why would they do that though? Just to mess with what we're used to? I don't see how it contributes to improving the game to take what everyone is accustomed to and moving the bar down universally.

This is no big deal in new leagues, but this is really confusing for those in established leagues being ported over.

It would be nice if there was at least a setting to use the old rating scale so people aren't all wondering why it appears every player in the league got nerf'd.

On one hand I agree, but the new conversion method is far more logical. For the vast majority of ratings if you want to estimate the middle of the range that the player's "real" rating is, you just multiply by 20.

I see what you mean but I fail to understand why this is remotely useful for practical purposes. It just seems like they changed a perfectly fine feature to make it appear new.

I'd like to hear from a dev why they felt it was a good idea to turn league's rating scales on their heads without giving an option to revert.

My league's commish is definitely hoping this is a mistake and that it will be addressed for one. I can't imagine he's the only one that was displeased to see his whole league looking very different.

The change was not intentional (we use the 1-10 internally for a lot of coach ratings, and stuff kept changing around with them). The previous version I believe makes more sense, as it still maps the 1-200 range internally to the 1-10 visible range in equal buckets.

Just thought I'd bump this since I didn't notice it in the update.
