OMG, how did I not notice this?!?!?!?!?!
I mean, I've been wondering about importing playoff stats and what happened to them.
Just opened up the import_player_batting file to get IDs and to import some WBC stats (shameless plug for the thread in the Rosters sub-forum), and I notice "21=playoffs". I take a random player: Bobby Bonds, 1971 Giants. I pull the info from BBREF for it, code it ending in 21. Import the stats and open the player profile. BOOM! 1971 playoff stats appear! Thanks for finally opening that up! Hopefully the stats team can import playoff stats before I get around to doing so

Yes, I posted earlier about the lack of stats, nice to see they can be added---this is a new feature from last year because I never noticed the option before. Even more interesting is you can also import L/R stats.
I have some Python scripts I threw together last year sometime that 95% give OOTP what it wants. I just get the data from the Lahman database, which the current ones has the 2016 stats, although not the L/R splits that you can get from bbref. If they don't end up doing it, I'll do it and post it. Edit: Actually, these scripts are older because now I realize why I wrote them. Imported the data when Cy Young didn't have his 511 wins. Nice side benefit was it really filled in the early stats(which in the game officially aren't as complete as what's in Lahman). Last edited by homerj; 03-22-2017 at 09:13 PM. Reason: More Info |
