The "Most Impossible" World Series

Matter of factly, the Red Sox and the Cubs have a certain chance of making the playoffs as wildcards, or better. Last year, the wildcards played the World Series. So that's where the idea from this poll is coming from...
... of course, there's no such thing as a 'most impossible'

I could see the Sox making the series...the Cubs just aren't that good. But wait...[chanelling Tim McCarver] with Prior, Wood, and Zambrano...The Cubbies can be really dangerous in a short series [/chanelling Tim McCarver]

The Red Sox will be in the WOrld Series this year mark my words!
I doubt the Cubs will. That would be pretty crazy thought knowing one of them would have to win.

I voted it could never happen because I truly don't see the Red Sox going all the way.

I'm not sure about fans of the Red Sox but my theory on Cubs fans is that they have grown to relish the "lovable loser" label and many would not know what to do with themselves if their team actually won anything. If the Cubs ever won the WS, the organization would cease being anything special and would blend as just another one of the teams that wins a Series every once in awhile.

I honestly believe that a Red Sox-Cubs World Series would be the ultimate publicity bonanza for MLB, and if I were on staff I would advise them to fix baseball so that it happens.

The "someone's gonna win one" scenario would be a media blitzkrieg that only one person in the world could possibly botch.

Unfortunately for baseball, his name is Bud Selig.

That in itself is a funny line sixto, but it is even more hilarious when you consider the lack of success MLB would have if they tried to "fix" anything in baseball.

I can't believe we're even contemplating this possibility.

What's next ? The LA Clippers win the NBA championship ?

Contrary to it being the most boring series, I bet it would be the highest rated World Series ever. I'd love to see it.

Cubs in the world series? What are you smoking? The White Sox will be in it long before the "Flubs." There luck is so bad that I don't think they will make it for years to come. The Red Sox could though.I hope theyy knock the Yankees out this year.I'm sick of New York.

The Sox and Cubs arent even close to the Clippers... The Clips are just plain awful... That would be like saying the D-Rays or something...
