Lunch Break Review
First a big congrats to Markus and Company. You guys never disappoint.
This is a very early review of OOTP 18 while on my lunch break. First thanks for releasing this at the time you did, I was waiting and waiting for it so I could take my lunch. First impressions. Opening Pages The game looks more and more professional as time goes on. I love the box art screen(w/ player faces). Everything about the opening screen just grabs your attention. New Season I play modern leagues so I started a real MLB league and right away I'm presented with the challenge mode option. Now I haven't been following what this mode was because at first it didn't seem anything I would like. I was completely wrong. This mode is amazing since you are actually competing against other OOTP players. All you need to do is register an account and then you are off. After getting my first achievement, I was loving this mode. I kept checking the leaderboards every 10 min. This is a new type of competitiveness. UI I always use the classic version and this is once again updated and beautiful. New Additions First thing I did once in was start to fix the Yankees. Started with trades and there it was, "Retrieve" salary option. Amazing and fun. I can see this being used a lot. Also I seen a lot of added league settings and some changes to the Hall of Fame voting. I didn't make it very far but I did butcher the Yanks to start my rebuild. I would recommend everyone trying challenge mode. |
