Is there usually a patch between beta release and full release?

Wondering if I should start my main Oakland A's save on Monday or wait for a patch. This is my first year getting the game on release day. Thanks in advance

Yes, there's usually a patch!

I thought about the same thing but realized it's technically still a pre-release version so I'll use those extra days to play around but not touching my real universe until a bit later.

I am starting a new universe I have been developing for a few weeks in preparation for the release of OOTP18. It is quite tempting to dive in and begin on Monday, but I will wait until release day.

He's right, but at least one patch...sometimes two.

Either way, it will be a blast.

the beta that will be released tomorrow is designed for the players to check it out...
we make sure that we report the bugs to Markus and Co. and they patch the game for the official release on the 24th!
For lack of a better description...we are guinea pigs for Markus!
I usually wait until the opening day patch to start my season
But when i get the beta tomorrow...i put it thru its paces
i sim, play, do offseasons, and the like so that i can see how the new version will play

I think last year a patch was released either the same day as beta or the next day so everyone ended up getting the game early since the link was posted here.

I'm sure the team learned from that mistake.
