Playing with the financial system
Is it possible to set each team to have the same budget available each season, especially playing historical leagues?
I usually shut the finances off altogether, if only to maintain the fantasy world of being outside of that whole thing. But if it were possible to play with limits in spending but with each team having the same limits it would be more interesting. |

you can control the revenue streams in line with your goals, sure.
-- set the ones that vary to zero and make something static - like national media contract that is not relative to market size and the same for all. turn off any sharing of revenue, including ticket revenue sharing. that will do it. -- you can also set a hard salary cap... as long as all teams make more than enough to cover that cap + personnel and whatever else... if you have international amatuer FA turned on, you may also want to set revenues equal for all teams, regardless. excess money will be spent in one way or another and the poorer teams will be worse off compared to others -- if that is your concern? so, doing both is best. multiple ways to accomplish each. if zero baselines for merch/ticket$ don't zero it out, i'm assuming it's close enough. Max cash on hand would still be a good idea to use- default 10M works well. |
