I want to keep my league totals set to 1987. Want can I do to ensure that it stays 1987.

If you want to keep both strategy settings and league totals synched up to 1987, there are a few things to do. First go to Game Settings > League Settings > Stats & AI > Import Settings and select "1987" in the "Select which settings to import" box. Secondly, uncheck the box that says "Automatically adjust league strategy when advancing to next season". You must also uncheck a similar box (same wording in fact), at Game Settings > League Settings > Historical > Historical Progressing Settings (just below the dialogue on expanding the league). There are also two checkboxes for "Automatically adjust league totals modifiers after each season for accuracy" that need to be unchecked. They are at Game Settings > League Settings > Historical > Statistical Accuracy, and Game Settings > League Settings > Stats & AI > League Totals (just below the league totals for At Bats, Hits, Doubles, Triples, Home Runs, Bases on Balls, Hit by Pitches, Strikeouts, and BABIP). Be sure to uncheck both of them. The best time to do the league totals thing is the day before Opening Day, which is the closest you can get to the regular season without it being the regular season. Go to Game Settings > League Settings > Stats & AI > League Totals. There's a box there that says "Totals from year". Simply select "1987" from the menu in that box and the totals from 1987 for RL MLB will pop up in the appropriate totals boxes, and the modifiers will be adjusted simultaneously. Alternatively you can select "1987" from that menu and hit the "Auto-calc modifiers" button, but that's not necessary. I've never done it and I've gotten very good results so far in a random debut historical that has run from 1901 to 1948. Good luck and by all means ask further questions if you need to.

import historical year... you may have to hand select 1987 each year? not 100% sure on that... make sure that not only the LT but also the LTM adjust after it grabs that info.. if not make sure to auto-calc your LTM or however you normally handle them.
check manual for specifics. maybe if you don't "auto import" and just select 1987 from teh drop down (or is it typed?). without auto-import, maybe it stays at the one you selected... not sure, i thought it automatically goes to 1988 the next year? like i said the manual will have non-guess info for you. |

It never changes unless you change it AFAIK.
