Suggestion: French Canadian names
I know there isn't a lot of French Canadians in the MLB currently, but since the French Canadian names are already included in the database, it would be nice to enable this language. Maybe you could ask the FHM team if you could use their great French Canadian names set.
![]() I mostly play Canadian based fictional leagues, and I replace the French names with Joefromchicago's French Canadian names, which are pretty good. But it would be nice to have real French Canadian names ready to use in-game. |

Sorry for my ignorance, but how do French and French Canadian names differ? I notice some Canadians having obviously French and others obvioulsy English names when I create fictional leauges.

Well, it's like the difference between US English and British English, but I would say the difference is even more pronounced between Canadian French and France French names.

Then it is a good point. Canada is, following the US and Japan, probably the third biggest baseball market worldwide - though you might have more fans in third world countries, there is little money to be made there.
But aren't French Canadians usually preffering sports where you beat yourself up with sticks while chasing a ball, or beat yourself up with sticks while chasing a puck on ice?

I'd be happy to know why the French Canadian name database (#33) isn't available in the in-game editor.

Yep, Joe's nameset is great and FHM nameset is almost perfect. So either one of these sets would be a huge improvement.

So your saying that French Canadian names are both English and French? So like an English first name and a French last name or vice versa?

For example, I don't think you'll find many "Tremblay" (a surname) in France while it's probably the most widespread surname here in Quebec. |

Now, that's just silly. What's next, a major league team in Quebec?
