Awards - you know it's long overdue...REDUX

- Any new awards this year?

- i'd love to see an option to have only one set of Awards per league - in other words, one set of awards with all the sub-leagues combined.

- Tournament awards?

I am hoping we can vote for such awards this year like how we can participate in the voting of the HOF and All-star game.

I would like to see 10 slots for MVP, and 5 slots for Cy Young like the writers have IRL. I think it's doable with sliders and given that sliders are already used in the area that houses Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers, why not for these two award areas? I pick my own awards, so this is something I'd like to see. Being top 10 in MVP or top 5 in CYA shows that you're a very good player and having a history of how a player has stacked up every year relative to his peers in his league would be a cool thing to look back on when doing HoF ballots and such. Just something to think about. You could make the first column all MVP (it already is now), the second column all CYA (right now it shares space with Reliever of the Year), and bump Reliever of the Year over into the column that houses ROY in order to make room for it. This would still leave room for the Custom Award of the Year in the fourth column and the fifth and sixth columns could still be for Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers. I think this would be a good change, and it should be doable.

I'd also like to have the option to have manual award voting work like HOF voting, where your vote has an influence but isn't binding. After seeing baffling decisions made by the AI (a closer who didn't lead relievers in any category but saves beating a starter who led the league in WAR by 1.8 wins for the Cy Young) I want to have some influence, but it'd be nice to have some element of surprise preserved.

As long as both your idea and manual award voting are available, I concur.
