How to restore facegens

Alright so I have a bit or a problem. I imported my '16 save into '17 and got a couple seasons in. I'm not sure what happened but now all my facegens are completely different. I know I could re-import, but i'd lose my progress(score one for backups).

So is there a file that I could simply copy over that will restore facegens? I'm not sure where exactly facegens are stored.

I believe you can copy over the 'faces.dat' file in the 'saved games' directory.

I've had to do this before when some facegen files I downloaded overwrote some of my fictional player faces.

Working from some speculation and relatively poor memory here, but are you saying you want your original 16 faces to appear in your new game that's now a year or two in ?

Yes faces.dat did the trick!! I also had to delete all the facegens in person pictures to get them to re-load.
