Eureka! I figured it out. The game looks for a folder with the ballpark name and, if it finds a folder without a "date" attached, it uses this folder. If not, it will seek a folder with a "date" attached. The game uses the name of the park in the .prk file. So, even if I change the folder name to "Detroit Park", for example, the game looks for Comerica Park, regardless (since the "Detroit Park" folder still contains the .prk file with the real name of the park). I hope that makes sense.

So, what I'm doing is adding a "date" to the problematic stadium folders. It worked for Comerica. Now, I'll try it for the others.

I made the changes. All the parks now show up for the right teams in the right seasons.

adion, any plans to do a Wrigley for the last 25 years or so (through 2014)? The default model has the big new scoreboard installed in 2015. So, it really isn't right for the period preceding it.

I only have two model for Wrigley and the are pretty much the same. The only difference is the color of the outfield wall and the green batting background on one. If Silvam makes another one or If a find another one I can do the background and crowd. I don't think there has been a whole lot of changes since 1937 until 2015. The double deck grandstand was installed in 1927.

No way to remove that new scoreboard? That's probably all that needs to happen.

I previously upload 2 version of Wrigley that don't have the big scoreboard. Try those.

Briggs 35-36

Here is my shot at Briggs 35-36. No center field bleachers and no luxury boxes. I could not get a good wide view of the field because the roof is in the way. Since I like to play with the wide view, I made a version with part of the roof remove so I could get the camera angle I wanted. You all note that some of the black areas that are in the Tigers/Briggs are gone. Mainly the one on the right field stands. It was due to the shadow settings in Sketchup. Why it only removed some, I don't know. Maybe someone on here who knows more about Sketchup than I do can lead me in the right direction. I will continue to work on that problem as a revisit all the parks I have done. That would be 94 Parks. So it won't happen over night. After I finish my updates I will try and make a Navin Field for the Tigers.

Adion, great work on your parks. Any plans to do early versions of
Crosley, Forbes, Wrigley, Commiskey, etc.

These are not my parks. The parks were made by Silvam. I just did the window dressing, i.e. background on those that needed a background, 3D crowds and I changed some signage in some to make them into different eras, like I did with the 3 Comiskys. The only sort of exceptions is Briggs Stadium. I used Silvam's Tiger stadium and removed the lights and press box to make Briggs 48-60, then remove the center field bleachers to make Briggs 35-36. Both started with a Silvam's built park. He put a lot of time and effort in to making these great parks. You can request some other from him and maybe he can do some other version. However, unless there are significant change in the parks, you won't see much difference with them in the game. A good example is Wrigley, not much changes from 1937 to 2014. Lights were added in 1988 but you wouldn't see them in the game because the are not in viewing field. I suppose I could take my 77 to 82 version and add some light to the roof but I don't know how much that would add to look.

The one I'd really like silvam to tackle is the early version of Wrigley with that odd section of LCF bleachers.

Arlingtons

Whilst starting down my list of parks to look at and revise as necessary, I decided to put backgrounds on Arlington 72-77 & 78-93. These will be included when I re-upload all the stadiums.

Maybe after 18 is out and operating he will have some time to look at the various requests for parks. I believe this is very time consuming for him.

I may go back and try to do some of those when I get some time

Forbes Field

Here is Silvam's 1909 version of Forbes. I named in as a 1909 to 1930 era. His 1947 version looks, to me, the same as his initial version. So, I renamed my version dated 09-69 to 40-69. This renamed version will be in my update of all the parks when I get them done.

1947 has a fence in front of the left field wall. Quite a bit different

Forbes

Needless to say, Silvam is correct about his 1947 Forbes. Had I turnoff the grid I would have seen the fenced area. So I have made his 47 in an area of 1947-1969 as the fenced area was put in when Hank Greenberg was picked up by the Pirates. I changed the other one to 1940-1946. I left the 1910-1939 as I changed it before. I have deleted the 3 Forbes Fields from my uploads and add the 3 new ones.

(I should have known better than to question Silvam's work!!)

All these parks are really great. Thanks to both Silvam and Adion. My only problem is I can't for the life of me get the 3D crowds to show. I can play them all just fine with no crashes what so ever. Where the crowd is, I have a solid color. Some gray. Some like a light green. I have an AMD Radeon 3000 series on board graphics and can't find anywhere to make graphics settings other than changing the resolution. Maybe I need to have a new graphics card installed. What I have, even though I do have the latest drivers, maybe a little too outdated. All parks work for me, otherwise.

I have a Radeon 7700 series card and it works fine. I did have a Nvidia and had all kinds of problems because of it. I don't know how old your 3000 series is but make sure you have the most current drivers and opengl loaded. You may have to uninstall your current drivers, even if it is the current one, and install the current drive fresh. Some time it gets corrupted when it installs over old drivers. Also, these parks need to be installed in the Models folder or they don't work.

I hope this helps.
