Can you start as one of the expansion teams?
Can I start the expansion Seattle Mariners in 1977 and draft my own players?

You might be able to do that if you start in 1976, disable automatic historical league development, schedule an expansion at the beginning of 1977 for the two teams, and GM for the Mariners. Hope that helped!

Yes, However you would have to start in 1976 and sim until the offseason begins... with default settings, the game will automatically add the Mariners and Blue Jays and then you take control of which ever team you want.
In short, no you can't just load up after the 1976 season and start with a clean slate for the Mariners and Blue Jays and 1976 real stats. |

Yes I did and took on the Blue Jays. I had a replay going using OOTP16 but, other projects took me away. It was fun though - I had players like Pete Rose on the Jays!
