Regular starts at multiple positions

Not sure how to best describe what I'd like in the title, but basically in this specific scenario I'd like to alternate a player between RF and DH in hopes of reducing exposure to injuries while playing defense, though I'd think the feature could be more flexible than that, perhaps.

This came up when I decided to sign Harper to basically a third of my payroll and kind of don't want to lose him :-p

I tried setting him as the starter in one position, and backup in another, both with the every 2nd game option for the backup, but they both just start at their normal position every game.

I'm aware that I could likely do this with 7 day lineups, but I don't like using the 7 day feature so I'll just run him out in RF if that's the only way.

I agree this would be really nice, I can also see how it could really make it tough on the lineup logic. Still hopefully doable at some point.

This would be really useful. One way to do it would be shift the Depth Chart screen to percentages, rather than an "every X games" rule–you could say that you wanted your backup catcher to start 20% of games for instance, but that wouldn't lockstep them into one day on and four days off.

The hard part would be to then marry the starting percentages with a way to produce your desired lineup order.

This is a good idea. But I don't get why you don't want Harper to play RF full time. A huge part of his value is defense that why you are paying a third of your payroll. Unless you have somebody better then him to play the field your not getting your money's worth out of him.
